My 7000 Dev units seem to dust the Trans/Sep end blocks regularly. I've played with the cleaning blade but it's still an issue. Any other ideas? _________________ Neil Johnston

Something is makeing me think about how KIP had us change the Bias on the 6000 to make the machine to run cleaner could you be losing some of your bias though your contact. or could you be not getting a good charge on your drum cleaning roller. I would start looking in these areas. Good luck on tracing this problem hope this will give you some areas to look around in. |

I hate to lead you back to the scraper blade, but that is the only thing that fixed my 7000 developers from drumping toner on the t/s end blocks. I streched the blade out about 2 mils past the inside bracket. Then when I install it into the developer, I take something and push the seal away from the blade. Sometimes the seal will come into contact with the blade and push it up causeing this problem. I have even cut off some of the seal in that area. Good Luck. |

I have noticed this after I have rebuilt the 7000 dev. also.
I agree the scraper blade might need to be streached.
I have also seen the brass washers/spacers not be put back on the developer drive gears cause a similiar issue.
Something to check out. |
