I have a 2900 that prints the image with jagged lines. Small print OK, but larger print is jagged. Changed print head and cleaning blade. Swapped developers. New Corona's and now suspect maybe a bad board.

Any help to correct problem.

Did you crash the machine to check image on drum and media before going through the fuser assy?

Wally, the doctor has seen this one before. Two things it could be.

First, it could be a drag on the drum drive causing a stutter in the drum rotation. A sure fire check is to remove the cleaning unit and run a test print with out it. If it looks good, the cleaning unit is putting too much pressure on the drum. Causing the jitter. To fix this, there is one screw on each side of the top of the cleaning if you loosen both screws about one full turn, you are effectively decreasing the pressure on the cleaning blade to drum .

Second, and a little more difficult, I have seen the led head frame get out of wack. Look at the area where the whole led frame pivots at the back of the machine. I have seen these bushing get knocked out of position from poor shipping practices.

Good luck
