brand new install customer complaining that there #17 vellum pencil drawings arent dark enough when copying them to bond, i tried a bunch of settings from changing the paper to translucent, to messing with contrasts got it darker then before but not to there liking, is there anything else im missing. they showed prints from there previous copier with btw was toner based not ink.

Have you ran the scanner white balance sheet through it to see if that makes it any darker?

I found this in the users manual, not sure if it helps.

Repeat the scan or copy using a higher resolution (High or Max if scanning, Normal or Best if
copying). You should also set background cleaning to 0, or set the content type to Mixed. You
might also deactivate the automatic de-skew as explained in A copied or scanned image is very
skewed on page 36. In case you were working in black-and-white mode, we recommend using
grayscale instead.

i actually set it to black and white, instead of grayscale so i'll try that. i did test normal to best and all that havent done the white balance im not sure where that sheet is cause that did cross my mind but wasnt sure if this machine did that.
