|

First off, we have two KIP Plotters, a 3000 and 8000.
We generally love these plotters; however, there are times when there are major quirks.
Granted the setup we are moving to isn't super common yet, but there are more and more companies doing this.
We are moving to having hosted desktops that connect to a hosted server. We have gotten everything else (including AutoCAD and Revit) working faster than on our local desktops. But we cannot get Printnet to see the KIP printers for some reason.
We have a site to site VPN connection established, but it just doesn't seem to work with the KIP printers, despite working with everything else.
Also, it should be noted that the new remote desktops are running Windows Server 2012, which is one of the things that allows AutoCAD and Revit to run properly. |

Not sure what you mean by this. PrintNET is hosted off of the KIP IPS and will work regardless of connection; in fact, PrintNET doesn't require any network at all.
Now, if you are talking PrintNET Enterprise, that is another story.
Can you please elaborate on what issues you are seeing? |

Sorry, wrong name, I meant KIP Print, the PC App available from KIP's website.
But it turned out that the default gateway had somehow changed on the setup and was incorrect on the plotter. I changed it and I can now access the printer remotely.
Now to just get past missing .DLL errors on Windows Server 2012 and all should be good. |
