We have a customer using Kip Print 8.01 and they say when they select multiple single-page pdf files and drag them into Kip Print they are placed out of order. We found that after you select them you have to click and drag the first one for them to copy in order. But now several weeks later even if you do this, it will copy them out of order. I have not seen this myself. Has anyone else experienced this? |

Haven't seen this on the KIPs; of course none of my customer use KIP Print however I have seen weird stuff like this on other machines.
Usually it's a compatibility issue with the PDF. There are so many flavors of PDF and now with the new standards that nobody follows to a T we are going to run into strange stuff more frequently.
The only way to fix any of it was to update whatever processor the apps used. Ghostscript or AcroPlotRepro.
If that doesn't work then KIP will just have to fix it so you will have to get on the horn with them. _________________ "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." - Benjamin Franklin and John Ruskin |

I'm quoting this reply from the KIP forum for the benefit of anyone on here that may not have seen this reply.

"If you look under the options menu, you will see a selection for "Sort Files Numerically". Make sure this is turned off, or it will resort your files.
The normal operation is that if you select multiple files to drag in, the file that you click on and drag will become the first file in the list. So if the files are in order, you will want to grab the first file in the highlighted list to drag them over. If you grab the third file, then that would be the first file in Print, and file 1 and 2 would be at the bottom." |

This is what the real issue is....it isn't randomly 'resorting' the files its "Windows counting" vs. numeric counting....
In windows if you have files names 1.pdf, 2.pdf,etc. to 30.pdf, the files will be loaded into Print 1.pdf, 10.pdf, 11.pdf, instead of 1.pdf, 2.pdf, etc.
It is unfortunately the nature of the beast and therefore this option exists. |

jezebel09 is correct. If you have more than 9 files, you must name them or put them in order starting with 01, 02, 03 up to 10 or 001, 002, 003 if going up past 99. If not, it will sort them as jezebel09 described them. |
