Hey all!
I just had a few question regarding the KIP 7100 series. We have recently brought these into out product line and im trying to get as much experience on them as i can.
Some questions i have is we have been getting alot of 7.3.1 software versions, but i guess 7.4 is avaliable? I cant seem to find any firmware upgrades or instruction on how to do this?
My next question is kind of pertaining to the above machine. A cusotmer is wanting to scan to email and the machine will scan successfully 1-2 emails then throw a dos -1 failure. A few other analysts told me the machine needs to be 7.4 hence my above question?
I also noticed the machine had an LDAP that i failed to connect to the AD controller. Most notably i dont know how to put in the search string for this model. I put in the search string as a few other product lines accept and it still doesnt connect. Maybe because there is no login information for this option?

If you log on into the KIP dealer area you can click on the technical information heading, click on apps, go to touchscreen based apps, and there is a patch for 7.4.544-01. Download that patch and you can push that patch to the machine from PrintNet or Request/Print.
Updating from 7.3 to 7.4 operating system generally requires you to use the 7.4 drivers and software packages too but so far 7.4.544 seems like it is working well for us.
Kip can not use the LDAP feature, I know it is there on their machines, but it is not functional yet. |
