OCE is more expensive in printing cost. During lifetime it becomes more and more.

I would disagree that the OCE is more reliable. The ink systems tend to use a lot of print heads, and they are not cheap and 9 to a machine. The toner based machines waste about 1/4 to 1/3 of the toner to the waste bottle, drums and wiper blades seem to go quicker than the KIP's do. If you do not keep the waste bottle empty it does take out the drum and is no fun cleaning up the mess. The KIP does NOT use developer. This is also an expensive item to replace. And usually to do any kind of service on these machines you have to disassemble the entire printer. The KIP internal software is much more tweekable. The OCE software is not at all tweekable. If you have an issue with PDF's in a KIP usually you can make a few adjustments, OCE you can not. And once you use a touch screen versus the roll and click, roll and click, you would prefer the KIP. The KIP uses less floor space than say a TCS700.

Oce's used to be more reliable, but no longer, the plotwave 300 and the TDS750 have just as many issues as KIP's do.
The cost of repairs and running the Oce is much more than the KIP.
The KIP software is better and free unlike the TDS750.
The Oce is much more energy efficient, as the KIP has issues when put into an energy saving mode so it has to be turned off.
The KIP has no used toner and is much more toner efficient and the toner is cost a great deal less than the Oce.
If you demo them side by side the customer will choose the KIP 9 times out of 10 just for the interface alone.
Print quility is a wash as is stacking.
Oce service is much higher as the cost of parts is twice that of a KIP.
I prefer KIP, but if the company that is selling it sells both Oce and KIP ask them what they prefer, then you can't go wrong.
