Anyone seeing the 9000 toner cartridges run a while and then say "toner cartridge not seated" or something like that. I have had three in a row act this way. Installing a new bottle cures the condition! Chip related? bad lot? any ideas?

Thanks,
John B.

The machine uses about half of the toner, then says "Toner cartridge not set" A co1 code has appeared and installing a new cartridge fixes that error code, only other item in the service book says Main Board? What?

Any one know whats up with this?

John B.

Yes we had this problem, a collegue try to change those toner sensor ( one in toner hopper and the other in dev unit ) with no result.

We found it was a bad batch of toner or the sticker on it was not place correctly. After replace with good bottle, everything work's fine.

This was common in the early days of the KIP 9000. There were bad toner cartridges. We would collect up a full box or 2 of bad cartridges and RA them to KIP. They did give us credit back then.
