Constantly - not sure what the word is - dirty, right in the center 12" or so wide. This machine runs only 36 and 30 inch wide paper so it is not like it is wearing the center of drum.

Kip toner only, Kip drum only, wires are right and dev unit is good.

possibly not from the drum at all. Maybe the fuser unit is the cause? Seen it before.

I have seen what you are speaking of on 2000,6000,5000 and 7000. I call it "toner haze" and I believe it occurs when the printer is used heavily. the drum heats up and toner sticks to it. drum cooling is not uniform and the drum temp is higher closer to the center. I clean the drums with Coopers D Ink to correct the issue when it occurs.

I have been cleaning them with the same. And I thought the same thing about heat in the center of the drum, somehow sticking the toner to it so it cannot be cleaned.
