Hi All: I have a 7000 with 1,280,000 sq ft. Yup, replaced the fuser about 500,000 sq ft ago. The fuser started getting "dirty" about 6 weeks ago. Clean it and it is good for about 2 weeks. Cleaned the thermostats, fuser fans. No stripper finger marks, and not eating into teflon. It just gets dirty and ghosts intermittently on sheets. This time I increased the fuser temp from 155degrees C to 162 degrees C. I tried to lower image density one light but prints were too light. Image density is on the second from left light. LED strobe time (overall) is at 20 and for IST is 15. Bad fuser roller again?

Also, the back of the first print has smeared toner on it and the susequent copies have toner but not as much ON THE RIGHT SIDE ONLY. I have changed 3 varistors in the last year. There is no dust on the inside of this machine and it is level. When you run your finger on the mylar strip right in front of the transfer wire you get a small amount on your fingertip ON THE RIGHT SIDE ONLY. I have checked the voltages and they are within specs. Anyone seen this?

I had a sililair one where I lowered the fuser temp about 15 degrees and decreased the strobe timing as well. This customer I did this for was printing maps with very high toner coverage.

As for the transfer unit, make sure there are no damage to the sponges on the side of the dev unit, and maybe you should try lowering the entrance guide of the transfer unit. I know this is not supposed to be done, but it has worked for me in the past

I just saw your post, I did samething ( lowered 8 degres ) on my 7000's and I inspect to do more than 500Ksq with the rollers. I did it to my 9000's too.

So far so good

Also, there is a new press roller to desepate the heat even on rollers. Kip says it is good for few machine. take a look on bulletin of 9000.
