Intermittent "worm-like" (white) void areas, mostly in the center of the prints. You can run 250 linear feet O.K. and then BLAM, the "worms" appear. Size of paper doesn't matter. Can see it on a 24x36 as well as a 11x17.......... Tried different paper rolls, of course.
The deletions usually start about several inches from the lead edge and go somewhat horizontal across the width. But the outer edges appear O.K.
Also it happens before the paper goes into the fuser section........
Very intermittent.........Could it be a Static issue? and if so would a Humidifier in the room help??
Solutions wanted. _________________ PPCPete |

Have you stopped the print and looked at the image on the drum? Kinda sounds like a toner supply problem. _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |

Must be transfer related. Check the gap on the transfer guide plate. Should be less than 1mm from drum. _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |

We had these wrinkles and finger or worm deletions for years on the Xerox analog equipment. It was caused by the paper drying out a 36" wide sheet of paper can shrink as much as 1/2" going thru a fuser. We would lower the heat to marginal fusing then increase the temp till it was fused. If that doesn't work or marginal fusing isn't your cup of tea. Raising the transfer and lower the sep. voltages to increase the tack will help. Crowning the lower fuser roller during recoating having the middle approx. .005" to .010" will help. I only gots one 7000 and haven't seen the problem. But it does sound like a paper problem that I have fought with for 30 years plus. |

I had this same problem and in my case it was an adjustment on a series of rollers that are just above roll one. uneven pressure was causing the paper to pull on one side. |
