Hi everyone. I have a 9800 that would go kerchunk a lot. Most of you probably saw my posts about it. I switched out the complete motor plate from my other machine and the kerchunk seems to have gone away. Anyway, now my image size is off. The white line on the test is measuring 706mm. No matter what number I put in to correct it, it will either still measure 706 or if I go crazy with the number it will go to 680mm. I did the belt adj test and the pressure roll test, which of course failed. Any ideas? I have a white border on all three sides of the test but the trailing edge has none because of the image being to big I assume.
Thanks for your help.
David

First off make sure there's no crap in the drum pulley teeth or in the belt teeth. When you run 1 to 1 set it for 5 prints. I believe the doc says three but I always had trouble if I didn't set it for 5. Return the value to default before starting the setup. If you don't have the TSM I'll send you the pages.

Another thing to check is the wheel sensors on the pressure roller motor and the fuser roller motor.....if the sensor is loose on the shaft, it will give a false reading and cause some of those problems.
I just use a bit of super glue on the end of the shaft and sensor to make sure there is no slippage.
Mark, do you concur?

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help. I will check everything and keep you posted. While I have you, do you know if there are any 9800 fuser rollers out there somewhat cheap. It doesn't have to be a recoat. I would take one that came out of a parted machine if it had low miles on it.
Thanks again.
