I have an HP 750C that has the max. 72 mb of memory. I am having trouble printing larger files (out of memory errors.) Is there any way to increase the plotter memory to 256 mb without using the computer memory option.

No.

The DJ750C was developed in the mid to late ninties. It was an industry standard for several years. If you have the memory maxed out and you are still getting out of memory error messages, you're asking the plotter to do more then it was ever intended to do.

On the software side, try downgrading the dpi's to 300 if you are working with graphic files.

In the advanced tab in the driver you can select "process in computer" or "process in printer". If you select process in computer you will not get out of memory errors, but your computer will be tied up acting as a buffer.
