I have a KIP 1030 customer who is trying to run 30 x 42 copies on it.
the 2 side edges have a border on it and they continually print light on the edges..............
drum, developer, wires are all new........is this typical for the KIP 1030
on this size copy???
Solutions wanted.

Two things to check.

First make sure the developer pusher springs (not really springs, but spring steel brackets) have been installed in the proper position. So many times I have seen guys forget to change them from the shipping position.

Second, how is the image on the drum if you stop the machine mid print? If it is good then you need to look to transfer as a problem. Most likely the transfer guide plate is out of spec. It should be 1mm from the drum for a nice tight transfer. You can measure this by folding up a small piece of paper twice and inserting it between the drum and the guide. It should be a snug fit. Not to tight or loose. I lean more toward number two as your problem.
Good luck.
