We recently purchased a 7800 and decided to stop using kip request in favor of Kip Print and all is well with sending jobs to the 7800. When sending jobs to out 7100 some of the jobs would go into the black hole and never show up. Using Request the jobs worked properly. Then jobs being sent from Print became erratic when sent to our 9900. The 9900 had 7.4.544 software, the 7100 had the initial 7.4 and the Print version we use is 7.4.338.
The prints not showing up problem was from all workstations. Yesterday I updated the 7100 to 7.4.544 and so far the printing works fine now. I'm just curious if anyone else has had any similar problems and may be able to say certain update patches cured this problem. |

| The new Kip Print program has additional features that were never included in Request, because of this the job ticket has to have additional information on how to print the jobs. The older versions of Unattend don't know how to handle the new features and are not able to print them. There should be no problem with putting the Unattend that is on the 7800 on any printer that you are trying to send Kip Print jobs. |
