Hi Everyone,

Just found this forum this weekend. Great idea!

I am having a challenge with one of my machines. My Oce 9800 seems to be over toning and it causes the build roller and pressure cleaner roller to stick together. I replaced the rollers but had the same result. All rollers were seated correctly, good bearings, good air pressure from the compressor. I ended up unplugging the machine for the night and the next day repeated the process and it worked fine... Until the next day when we turned the machine on again and the problem returned. I have since tried changing the air control unit but to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions that I might try?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Regards,

Ron

You will need the documentation to go forward. The exposure has a great effect on the "overtoning" you see. Are you using OEM toner? The rolls are sticking together because they're overloaded, not due to a pnuematic issue. Is the drum over 1mil? Pin arrays? The internal lens on the PHD can be crapped up causing problems......

How quickly did the cleaning rollers fill up? If in a very short time there is a problem with the prinhead not turning on and therefore printing solid black which gets transfered to the fuser roller, pressure roller then cleaning rollers. Could be connections on the printhead or small ribbon cable loose or the printhead data receiver (board on back of printhead).

Only because I forgot once, the torides are installed in the cleaning rolls?? Also make sure the bearings are seated completely in the cutouts.
