Sorry guys/gals, I'm a KIP guy but in need of a TDS 800 printhead. Needs to print perfect greyscale. We have one now that won't print a solid greyscale. Please e-mail me prices.

Thanks in advance,

Being a KIP guy there are a couple of things that ought to be checked before buying a print head. Drum age is a big one, pin array age, exposure setting. There are other things to check but there isn't room here. You can also take a soft cloth folded over a piece of PLASTIC shimstock, wet it with 99% iso and clean the LED lens inside the apperature.

Thanks Mark,

I have done all of the above, even swapped out with another TDS 800 to be sure it wasn't any of the above. The Drum is older but still working, the pin arrays are new, and the led exposure is at 55 and I tried 45. A new drum probably would help but with the other print head from another 800 it works. Do you know of anyone with TDS 800 heads or that can rebuild them?

Thanks,

Last I heard, Sanyo, the OEM, controls the gigs needed to realign the the heads after repair so there are no rebuilds that I know of. PM me an email address and I'll send you a couple of contacts for OCE parts.
