|

do these levels work independently
i always thought they did, at least on the 8000's
when i change the network level thru the 9000 configuration, it changes the copy level on the front of the printer --- changing the copy level in the configuration does not seem to do any thing
so if someone changes the copy density using the button on the front of the printer, then it changes the network printing density
this seems opposite of how it should work
we have 4 9000's -- mostly software issues
this worked correctly on the 8000's if i remember
thanks |

|

On the 9000's for us, setting it through "configuration screen 6 of 7" has also changed it on the front panel. Now for precise control (funny as I just had to make some changes as we had some prints come back missing screens) we use the printer service mode 5AB and go up or down from there.
For this example we were set to 5AB 80 and I changed it to 5AB 65 and PRESTO, perfect screens.
Anyhow hope this helps. |
