I am wondering if anyone has made any progress with this issue. I have the same problem.

I was told that Kip Japan knows there is a design flaw with these cis's.
They are NOT going to do anything about it since there are so few complaints. This information comes from the Kip folks out of Dallas Tx.
It seems that we will have to live with it. As far as a solution goes we are going to be useing the Contex scanner system as our new color copy solution. I have not tried but maybe the old style cic's would work better?

I've installed an ipf700 with a 3000. I'm getting a GARO W1234 error on the display panel of the Canon. I called KIP -- they didn't return my call.

I called Canon -- they said the error is a 'warning'. It has to do with the way the KIP 3000 is sending the scanned image to the printer. Apparently, this is another design flaw.

Make sure the media type specified on the Canon's control panel is the same as set in the Canon windows print driver and you should not see that message assuming you have setup the Color Calibration properly in the UI.
