caps look fine and both fans are running. Kip tech support said to make sure enable system stanby is un-checked. I uncheck it and apply it always goes back to being checked. |

So we have replaced the ips controller but we have run into another problem. It will lock up when they send a print file but not all the time. The touch screen will lock up if the file does not print out completely. The print will have some portion of the file printed correctly on the page and the rest of the page will look kind of like a bar code down for remaining part of the print. The paper is cut at the right length. We can turn the printer off and on and it will try to print the file again, if it prints out successfully all is well, but sometimes it prints part of the image and then the "bar code" down the rest of the page and locks up again. This did not happen before the ips controller was replaced. |

Have you tried connecting to the printer with your laptop. Since you've swapped out the IPS and the issue is still present it may be a network issue. At least then you'd know which side of the connector the problem is on, printer or network....IF the IF card reseat doesn't help _________________ Regards,

In the past, on a KIP3000, the customer had the History turned on and it's supposed to purge itself when the given GB is met but this particular printer did not purge and it wiould end up printing about a couple inches of the image and then bar codes all the rest of the "correct" paper length. I would clear the history and issue went away.
If customer doesn't have history turned on, check for a full HD. |
