|
|
Hello,
We have installed the Kip Print Version 8.0.69 and when we go to convert tiffs into PDFs using the view-> Convert tagged to -> PDF
It will take a 24x36 and change the page size to a 24x18.
And idea how to fix this?
Thanks! |

This could be if you have a scaling routine (Force Size) selected.
Look in the Enlarge / Reduce column and make sure that it is set to 100%.
If it is set to anything else, it will convert with these settings in place. |

These are the setting I have.
The Enlarge/Reduce size is set to 100%
Rotation: Automatic
Original Image Size: 30x42
Output Image Size: 30x42
Remove White Borders: No
When it convers it into PDF the image gets shrunk to 10x14.
Thank you for your help. |

Seems to be a DPI issue...that is 1/3 size calculation.....hmmmm.....
Try this for me....
1. Within KIP Print, open the Pen Table from the tool bar
2. Make sure that Resolution is set to 600 DPI. If it isn't please set to 600 DPI and then save as default
3. Try to convert again....
My guess is that this is a color TIFF image (multi-bit); if it is, then the pen table is taken into account when converting an image. I know it is weird, but it is how it works.
Let me know your results. |

If you can do the following, I think we can figure it out.
1. On your workstation, look for c:\program files\ips\print\winreq.ini
2. Open this with notepad (make sure the program is closed).
3. Look for Debug=1 (or something similar)
4. Change to Debug=999
5. Save the changes
6. Try to convert the file again
7. Now in c:\program files\ips\print\winreq.out, send this file to me
This is a debug file and I should be able to see what is going on...hopefully.... |

In the IPS Directory I have this, C:\Program Files (x86)\IPS\IPSPrint
In there are the following files.
ctlShadowPictureLib.dll
FarPoint.CalcEngine.dll
FarPoint.Excel.dll
FarPoint.Localization.dll
FarPoint.PluginCalendar.WinForms.dll
FarPoint.Win.Chart.dll
FarPoint.Win.dll
FarPoint.Win.Spread.dll
FarPoint.Win.TextRenderer.dll
Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary.dll
Ionic.Zip.dll
IPSPrint.exe
LogicNP.FileView.Design.dll
LogicNP.FileView.dll
LogicNP.FolderView.Design.dll
LogicNP.FolderView.dll
LogicNP.ShComboBox.dll
Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dll
No Winreq.ini
I don't have Kip Request installed, I only have Kip Print Installed. |

Do a search for winreq.ini.
But, it should be in c:\program files\common files\ips\print |

It's PRINT, not request anymore. Search for IPSPrint.ini
On a Win 7 workstation, it should be there:
C:\ProgramData\IPS\IPSPRINT\IPSPrint.ini |
