Account feeding prints to the top.
Two days ago they had multiple fuser jam delays, when I arrived I opened the clam shell and removed the jam, and then it ran perfectly the rest of the day till late yesterday afternoon, when it did it one time again. Has anyone else had this code come up and what did you find?
Thanks |

It seems to me that I'd seen this a year and a half ago or so, and although I don't remember much about it, I know I was forming on the exit switch actuator bracket to provide more movement when the paper hits it. I also wonder if your machine has the problem mentioned in tech bulletin n TB-K124-001a |

The problem I have seen on these is in the exit door they have a wheel that turns by the media running over it. The pressure gets light and the media will not turn it and you get jam errors. Even though the wheel is out as far as it can stick out "form" the spring plate to give it more pressure. This has alwayse worked for me. |

Thanks for the replies.
Here is an update
I noticed an idler roll missing in the fuser exit area, allowing the media to buckle over the actuator, and after finding it on the floor I reinstalled it. however it was not the total answer
After talking with the tech from Kip twice. He suggested that I check the fuser drive for binding and reduce nip width. I suspected a flaky sensor, so when I returned this morning I replaced the sensor, reduced nip with adjustment by one half turn. and pulled all the idler rolls in the area and adjusted them so I knew that they had good contact with the fuser exit drive rolls.
So far it's been running good. If I have to go back I'll look to follow the suggestion to raise the actuator, as I wondered if that might be a problem. My machine is a later machine serial number and already has the up date mentioned in the Tech bulletin. |
