Have a machine with toner smudge on the lead edge of the prints on the back. It goes away on longer jobs. I've checked the paper path and cleaned it out, but it never goes away completely, and comes back quick. Any ideas? |

If the toner is fused on I always look at the T/S unit. Sometimes toner builds up on the mylar strip in front of the transfer wire and rubs off on the backside of the paper. Cleaning it and making sure the strip isn't too close to the drum has fixed it for me in the past. |
