Some may or may not be aware of the fix that has been a secret to me until today. To fix random void marks you are supposed to REMOVE the black rollers from behind the cover on the front that covers the cutter. To reference this area it is located in 9.LOWER FRAME-FRONT DRIVE of version 1.0 parts manual.
However I was still having issue on what was always the first print from a set or just an individual print. The problem was void deletions towards the center of the lead edge, but still varing. I found there was another set of rollers that are exactly the same located below the Developer section. If you remove the center roller with the green spring labled "C" in the 6.UPPER FRAME-PROCESS FRAME of the parts manual and replace it with one of the weaker springs that I removed from the other section this took care of my issue.
Hope this helps anyone that has been troubled by this issue. _________________ Terry Crawford

I have a recent update for all that are still getting this problem. I'll just quote from anoter post to make my job easier.
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You didn't mention that you raised the fuser speed... Did you try that ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I tried various different speeds of motors; fuser, paper feed, cutter loop, and maybe some others. It didn't seem to change any thing, not to mention there are many different fuser speeds for different situations. I was having cutter shock when I did start changing these speeds. This is why I was changing the cutter loop. I think I might have my problem licked(I AM HOPING THAT IS) Basically you need to raise the Transfer guide until it is just barely touching the Drum.
One of my machines must have a different posistion on the whole assy. because I was able to raise one up about 3.5mm and I still was not close to the Drum. Where as the other if I was to raise it more the 1mm it was rubbing the Drum. I ended shimming with some of my own stock under the T&S to ultimately getting about 1.5/2mm more hieght on the assy. The shims that are under the assy. from the factory are not available to order. But there is a part# for them. _________________ Terry Crawford
