There is no KIP 7 Restore disk for Intel. Intel motherboards were only used in the HDP and earlier machines and those system will not upgrade beyond 6.5.

Yes, only IPS based machines can upgrade to 7.

FYI You can apply a patch to the 6.5 systems that allows printing from Request 7 and the newer windows drivers.

OK..here's what I know. You can only upgrade IPS systems to 7.0. If you have a Windows 7 workstation, you can install 7.0 Request and windows, AutoCad drivers on it, even if you are printing to a HDP 6.5 printer. BUT, if you are, you will need the new kipserve.exe so that the HDP printer will communicate with the 7.0 Request (only). The 7.0 windows and AutoCadd drivers can print to 6.5 printer with no issue.

Can someone send me a copy of the kip 7.0 ghost cd? I have a 3100 and the customer is upgrading the workstations to windows 7 and would like to upgrade the controler software to the latest and greatest (?) Thanks

You can get a free upgrade to KIP7 from KIP, just need to provide them with some machine information. Due to Microsoft rules, you will need a upgrade kit per machine. I got one for each of my machines and got over 20 kits...
