I have an Encad novajet pro 42e printer. The stepper motor for the paper feed does not seem to move, and was told by numerous people that it is the mainboard causing this.

I got a mainboard from a pro60e machine, but now the carraige knocks against the side asuming the machine is 60inch wide.

Please can anyone tell me if there is a way to reset the board or bypass initializing, as I cant afford to buy another board.

Any help will be much appreciated, thanks

What you will have to do is do an emergency firmware upgrade. What that will do is flash the board to the configuration that you want in length. Hope this helps you out. You should still be able to get this flash update from Encad's web site.
