OK, this problem is driving me nuts! I have read other post where I had found this symptom & though, cool. The scanner has a green warm up light flashing and sometimes solid green. The problem is the warm up light on the printer is "REdon'D" in either case. The other post said changing the heat roller fixed it but didn't know why? Maybe bad heat roller? OK, I changed the entire fuser from a good running 6000, still same problem > not fuser. It will go to ready some 30 min latter and work fine, until > it sits for 15 min. idle then goes into this condition again, and wait wait wait. I went through all the energy save settings, what am I missing here? a setting I'm overlooking? The fuser temp. is set correct according to manual. Any suggestions? This is driving the cust. and myself crazy! Thanks for any suggestions. |

I'm sorry, type-o for sure > "REdon'D" is supposed to read RED. Don't know where that came from, my fingers are to big or something. And No, there is no AC blowing on Kip, there is an AC cooler above the entrance of the building but that is way across the room. |

Just wanted to check with you to see if you checked the power saving settings on the controller and in the user mode of the printer?
Also, did you check the clock on the embedded controller to make sure the time is correct? |

Thanks cjwilt! I was wondering that. I think we need to hook up a monitor, keyboard, mouse to the controller to check this > correct? Yes, I did check all setting in user mode. Maybe it's the controller messing this up? Do you know where to look after boot up of the controller with the above mentioned hooked up? Thanks for all your help! |

Yes, when you have a monitor keyboard and mouse hooked up, double click on the Time at the bottom right side of the monitor to change it. If you don't see the time displayed there, right click in the task bar at the bottom of the screen and select, "Properties" then check mark "show the clock". Then you can adjust the time.
Also check the Unattend software for sleep times. Go to Configuration then Miscellaneous Settings and adjust the Wake Time and Sleep Time as needed. You can delete these feilds so there is no sleep time or wake time.
Hope this helps. |
